This past weekend, two scholarships were awarded to Sultana students at the CIEF build competition in Costa Mesa, Paul Rees and Diego Galvez. There were more than 200 students competing at the So. Cal event. Sultana defended their state title from last year with a First place finish and Craftsmanship Award voted on by the Carpenters Union. They were 1 of only 3 teams that completed the entire build in the two days topped off by building the biggest shed of any team in So. Cal.
The very next day on Friday, Sultana competed at the VVC build competition and took home 1st and 3rd against all the local Construction tech programs in the HD. Way to go!
Este fin de semana pasado, se otorgaron dos becas a estudiantes de Sultana en la competencia de construcción CIEF en Costa Mesa, Paul Rees y Diego Galvez. Hubo más de 200 estudiantes compitiendo en el So. evento Cal. Sultana defendió su título estatal del año pasado con un primer puesto y un premio a la artesanía votado por el Sindicato de Carpinteros. Fueron 1 de los 3 equipos que completaron la construcción completa en los dos días que culminaron con la construcción del cobertizo más grande de cualquier equipo en So. California.
Al día siguiente, el viernes, Sultana compitió en la competencia de construcción VVC y se llevó a casa el primero y el tercero contra todos los programas locales de tecnología de construcción en HD. ¡Camino a seguir!
